WaveRunner is a racing arcade game developed mainly by AM1 and published by Sega in 1996. The game is based on the watercraft of the same name by Yamaha called "WaveRunner". The game runs on the Model 2C hardware.
Gameplay and concept[]
WaveRunner is more of a straight-racer in the vein of say Sega Rally Championship where you compete against other WaveRunner riders, as well as the clock, in one of three courses--Novice, Intermediate, and Expert. The player also has to jump off of ramps and do tricks. To turn sharply, the player has to roll the WaveRunner hydraulics over to the side.
Up to four WaveRunner machines can be linked for multiplayer racing.
