Dewikipediafy means to change an article so it no longer mirrors an article from the Wikipedia.
You also need to remove the links to non Sega related articles, or replace them with links to other wikis with relevant information.
[edit] Steps to Dewikipediafying
This is what to do after taking an article from the Wikipedia:
- Tag: Use
{{Dewikipediafy}}to list your page in the category. Then, use{{Wikipedia|}}and fill in the original Wikipedia article's name. (eg. If the original article on Wikipedia was called Sonic the Hedgehog, and you made a page on Wikia called Sonic, you would put{{Wikipedia|Sonic the Hedgehog}}at the bottom of the Sonic page.
- Links: Try to link articles to different Wikias if possible. It boosts how much is seen on other Wikias and improves interest, which helps all Wikias get better. If linking to a Wikipedia article, use this syntax:
[[wikipedia:Article]], where "Article" is the name of the page.
- Rewrite: Rewrite the article. Try not to do it all at once, but do it in sections. If you do it in small steps, then it is often easier.
