| Hello. My name is Lau Chan and I'm going to teach you about the art of talk bubbles. Talk bubbles are templates used by contributors on Sega Wiki to converse on forums and user talk pages. They are designed to make it easy to see who's talking while still making their text stand out.

| To set up a personal talk bubble, use the talk bubble template. I'll repeat it here to make it easy for you to follow:
{{Talkbubble
|image=
|color=
|textcolor=
|name=
|sig=
|time={{{time}}}
|text={{{text}}}
}}
- Take the template, and paste into "Template:<yournamehere>bubble". The variable <yournamehere> represents your User Name. If Example wants to make a talk bubble, they can create it at Template:Examplebubble.
- Fill in the information requested, except for time and text, which you should leave as {{{time}}} and {{{text}}}. This is how Example filled in their talk bubble.
{{Talkbubble
|image=Sonics.PNG
|color=#0000FF
|textcolor=#FFFFFF
|name=Example
|sig=I'm an example.
|time={{{time}}}
|text={{{text}}}
}}
For the color value, you can use Hexidecimal values (as shown above, ex. #0000FF) or color names. Visit Help:Color chart to see a list of supported color names. What the syntax above gives you is the example below.

| Once you have saved your talk bubble, you can use a very simple code to embed your template into talk pages and forums. If Example was to embed their bubble in a page, they would write this:
{{Examplebubble
|time=~~~~~
|text=Hello guys!
}}
The five tildes (~~~~~) inserts only the date. When posting to talk pages and forums, make sure that the time field has the five tildes. In text, you can write anything you want. The text field shows you what's in the bottom of the bubble.

| {{Talkbubble/bots}} is a template only used by tutorial bubbles and welcome bubbles, such as my bubble or the welcome bubble. Don't use that one for a personal bubble, but instead use {{Talkbubble}}
