So, if there were to come vandals here, and they are vandalising so badly that you ban their I.P., they can always come back.
Proxies can be used and abused, but in the case of wikies, forums, and any other communuties, they will certainly be abused to get around I.P. bans...
I think that when the wiki's big enough to attract vandals, you should begin to block commonly used proxies. On a lot of other communities, this has helped a lot. Sega-Sonic 13:12, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

- Can't really come up with one at the moment...haven't been active for quite a long time. I've heard the fact on quite a lot on the VBulletin boards where people made mods to prevent proxies...I think the wiki Wikimon might have one after I used one to ask why my accoutn was banned...so proxies are useful against auto-bans, but I don't think wikia has those. It's kinda like how Gmail and Hotmail is forbidden on certain fora. For a list of a few proxies, you could visit proxy dot org and try to find out the I.P's. Sega-Sonic 13:25, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think I see where you're coming from. Luckily, right now we're pretty vandal safe it seems, as our last strike was probably a few months ago. If you ever find an example, I'd like to take a look and find a way to apply it to the wiki. I haven't been active for a while (due to exams and such) but this summer I'm hoping to really give it a kick start so I don't need to be here constantly fixing bugs and design, because every time I log on there's some new design template I have adhere to. I'll probably need to add another admin eventually once it starts getting big enough. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll take a little look on Google and check some of it out.
