Sega Superstars Tennis is a tennis game by Sumo Digital released for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS and Mac.

Gameplay

It stars various Sega characters and provides courts and minigames based on past Sega games. The main part of the game is a tennis game featuring singles or doubles, formatted however the user wishes. A tournament mode is also provided. Minigames from each court are provided. A major feature in the game is Planet Superstars, where challenges must be met to unlock courts, music tracks, or characters. The main franchises featured in the game include Sonic the Hedgehog, NiGHTS, Jet Set Radio, Super Monkey Ball, Samba de Amigo, Space Channel 5, Golden Axe, and Alex Kidd.

Playable characters

• Sonic the Hedgehog: Speed type - His Superstar state, Super Sonic, makes him transform into Super Sonic. His shots now travel at sudden turns and fast speeds making it hard to return.
• Miles "Tails" Prower: Spin type - His Superstar state, Whirlwind, makes the ball spin in a tornado shape. When hit, the returning player will spin on the spot being unable to move momentarily.
• Amy Rose: All Round type - Her Superstar state, Lover Heart Stun, makes the ball circle in a heart shape. When hit, the returning player becomes dizzy and slow.
• Shadow the Hedgehog: Speed type - His Superstar state, Super Shadow, makes him transform into Super Shadow. His shots are now infused with Chaos Control, teleporting the opponent across the court when they return the ball.
• Dr. Eggman: Power type - His Superstar state, Electric Spike Ball, has him return the ball alongside four electrified spiked balls. If the returning player touches these they will be electrocuted, stunning them and preventing them from moving.
• AiAi: Spin type - His Superstar state, Banana Blitz!!!, returns the ball with bananas. When they hit the court, they become slippery banana peels if stood on by the returning player.
• MeeMee: Spin type - Her Superstar state, Flower Power, makes the ball circle in a flower shape before GonGon, Baby and YanYan appear on the opponents side of the court in Monkey Balls, running them down.
• NiGHTS: All Round type - NiGHTS' Superstar state, Nightopian, grants them some Nightopians and makes the ball paraloop. When returned it teleports the returning player around the court.
• Reala: All Round type - Reala's Superstar state, Nightmare, makes the ball paraloop and upon returning the ball causes the opponent to spin on the spot being unable to move momentarily.
• Ulala: Control type - Her Superstar state, Morolian Invasion, makes the ball travel in the shape of a '5' and makes Morolians appear on the opponents court, dancing. If the opponent touches a Morolian they start dancing uncontrollably.
• Pudding: Control type - Her Superstar state, Guitar Showdown, makes her break out her guitar and makes the ball travel in a wide angular rectangle pattern.
• Beat: Speed type - His Superstar state, Graffiti Floor, spray paints grafitti on the opponents side of the court causing them to slip when trying to move. Additionally Beat's shots shoot at erratic angles, and a GG member appears to grind across the net with a boombox.
• Gum: Speed type - Her Superstar state, Police!!!, makes her shots travel at wide smooth angles whilst a brigade of policemen storm the opponents side of the court blocking the opponent off.
• Amigo: Power type - His Superstar state, Maraca Madness, makes his shots curve at wild angles and lay down three maracas on the opponents court. If the opponent touches these they start dancing uncontrollably.
• Alex Kidd: Control type - His Superstar state, Rock, Paper, Scissors!!!, gives him slightly altered angles, but also drops a 100 ton weight on the opponent from above, knocking them over.
• Gilius Thunderhead: Power type - His Superstar state, Golden Hit, embues the ball with lightning magic making it fly into the sky. Every time the opponent returns the shot, lightning bolts rain down on their side of the court. Touching these bolts will eletrocute the opponent, stunning them.

• Green Hill Zone (Sonic the Hedgehog): Includes cameos from Knuckles, Silver, Blaze, Big the Cat and Chao;
• Scrap Brain Zone (Sonic the Hedgehog): Includes cameos from Metal Sonic and Egg Gunners;
• Super Monkey Ball (Super Monkey Ball): Includes cameos from GonGon, Baby and YanYan;
• Splash Garden (NiGHTS): Includes cameos from Nightopians and Ideyas;
• Spaceport 9 (Space Channel 5): Includes cameos from Morolians;
• Shibuya DownTown (Jet Set Radio): Includes cameos from Corn, Piranha and Professor K;
• Carnival Park (Samba de Amigo): Includes cameos from Linda, Chumba, Wumba, Bingo and Bongo;
• Coconut Beach (Out Run): Includes cameos from the driver, his girlfriends and the flagman;
• Curien Mansion (House of the Dead): Includes cameos from zombies;
• Carrier Zone (After Burner): Includes cameos from workers, pilots and the F-14 Tomcat the player pilots in After Burner.
