Reala is a 1st-level nightmaren and rival to NiGHTS. Reala is genderless like NiGHTS, but is often referred to as a male. This is mainly because he has muscles and uses red in a more "masculine" way. He is cruel, brutal, manipulative, and Wizeman's orderly right-hand man.
While NiGHTS is jester themed, Reala is more circus themed. In NiGHTS into dreams, he delivers 1 of 2 spoken lines in the whole game, "There is no NiGHTS".
In NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams he says when you're about to fight him he says "I'll bring your heads to Master Wizeman MYSELF! Rggh!". He is often seen in his devoteful persona mask, therefore scolds NiGHTS for not wearing it.
If you play in Versus Mode, Player Two is Reala. Reala seems to enjoy making vistors to Nightopia sad and angry as he did to Helen in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams. In Versus mode, he can do all the moves NiGHTS can. Also, in NiGHTS Into Dreams' Saturn version, he is playable in Versus mode. In Christmas NiGHTS, he is playable if the system date is April 1st, in allusion to April Fool's Day.

Appearance[]
Reala's signature colors are red and black. In the original Saturn game, Reala had a purple ruffled collar, yellow claw-like talons for fingers and a vest that appears to be open with a diamond patterned chest. He also has a red and black-striped jester's hat that is, presumably, a part of his body and not, in fact, a hat.
Reala was redesigned for NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams; sporting a mask called a Persona, a symbol of loyalty to Wizeman. It is gold with a pink jewel in the center with black feathers on the edges. His vest is closed over his chest and has a flame/swirl pattern. He wears red arm guards and hip-plates, which both have a flame-like design on them and gold trim. He also wears dark brown fingerless gloves and dark brown bandages on his wrists. As in the original game, his signature colors are red and black. His boots are mostly dark red, with some bright red flame patterns and a single bright red stripe interspaced in the middle of the boots. Although he keeps his red jester's hat from the original game, it now has dark red stripes instead of black stripes; it also appears to be slightly less sharply angled than the first game. He also wears dark brown bandages on his legs, although they are mostly concealed by his boots. He also, for some reason, has pale pink nails and a pink ruff on his neck.

Reala is cold, hard, and orderly. In contrast to NiGHTS' free-spirited nature.
Alignment and Moral Compass[]
Reala would be considered lawful evil in alignment. He commits organized acts of fear and other evil aspects. His moral compass would go Southwest with a little more South. There's a good chance he respects the authority that the Wizeman holds more than the evil his plans are. Due to Reala having free will, it is possible that he is well-aware of the consequences of disobeying Wizeman's orders, and thus is either loyal to him out of fear, or loyal to him out of blind devotion and a false sense of reward for his deeds.
