Jet the Hawk is the leader of the Babylon Rogues consisting of himself, Wave the Swallow, and Storm the Albatross: a talented group of thieves with a mysterious past and amazing extreme gear skills. With Sonic claiming to be the fastest thing on universe, Jet would like nothing more than to beat him in a extreme gear race.
Appearance[]
Jet is a hawk. His head plumage resembles Sonic's spikes somewhat, and he is nearly always seen with his gear riding goggles atop his head, and like many male Sonic the Hedgehog characters he wears a pair of gloves, with a little unique detail on the cuffs, and a pair of red, black and white sneaker like boots
History[]
Jet was born into a thief tribe known as the Babylon Rogues. He, Wave and Storm are all descendants of the ancient alien creatures known as the Babylonians who found themselves stranded on Earth. Jet's father was the previous leader of the Babylon Rogues, but he and Wave's father both stepped aside from the clan in order to let the new generation take over. Jet assumes the leadership role of the current Babylon Rogues.
Sonic Riders[]
Jet made his debut in the Nintendo GameCube game Sonic Riders, in which Dr. Eggman first tells him of Sonic being know for being "The fastest creature of the Universe!"
Dr. Eggman creates a grand prix in which each contestent had to hand over a Chaos Emerald to enter.
Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity[]
In Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity Jet appears along with Wave and Storm looking for the Arks of the Cosmos. Jet, Wave and Storm are all playable by selecting the Babylon story.
Jet races Sonic near the end in the Babylon Story to win all of the Arks of the Cosmos.
Personality[]
Jet is highly arrogant, confident, conceited, narcissism, and holds high standards. He has a massive ego, considering himself the fastest, and holds everyone else in low regard, often bragging about his skills. While he is willing to praised others, he usually makes his compliments short and follows up with an insult. He is also very competitive in the races he participates in as he always wants to be the best. However, he is adamantly against cheating.
Trivia[]
- Jet was planned for the original Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games but was cut seemingly quite late into production as unlike other planned characters like Big the Cat, Jet (and Silver) seem to have some of their animation complete when hacking the files, allowing him to do things such as take the starting pose in a track race.[2]
- Jet appears in both Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and Mario & Sonic at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games as a guest character for football/soccer.
- Jet appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. For 3DS/Wii U. He also appears as a spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- Jet has a knight version of himself in Sonic and the Black Knight known as Sir Lamorak. Sir Lamorak does not appear in the main story, but is an unlockable knight for the two player mode.
